spell trouble for the entire health care law. >> reporter: president obama is pushing to get more young people to sign up for health insurance. >> for your friends and your family, the most important source of information is not going to be me. it's going to be you. >> reporter: stopping by a white house youth summit, the president encouraged young adults to show their friends how to enroll. jessica brown is spreading the word on college campuses. >> young people are an important group among the uninsured. they're actually the largest bloc of uninsured. >> reporter: republicans held four separate hearings on the health care law wednesday and explored whether young people will sign up. >> if they're young and healthy, they're not going to spend thee or four days a week trying to get through a website for insurance when they find that they're going to have to pay more for it. >> reporter: georgia republican tom price is pushing his own health care legislation that he says is more attractive to young people. >> mr. president, here we are, we've got a better idea. so give me a call. >> repo
on the problems with the health care website. the obama administration says roughly a quarter of the people who signed up in october and november may have errors on their form. this month, it could be 1 in 10. the electric forms are sent to insurers but if they don't have the right information cannot complete the enrollment. elizabeth prann has more. >> reporter: the administration admits there are additional errors. the glitch pertaining to electric files sent from healthcare.gov to insurance companies. they're called 834 forms. companies use them to bill consumers. about 1 in 10 of those forms are showing errors such as misspellings. in turn, the companies can't complete the transaction if any of these flaggings are raised. the white house says it's still a work in progress for the contractors. >> they're making sure that everyone who enrolled is -- is enrolled, in fact, and addressing the challenges that were particularly keen in the beginning of this process, on the back end, the forms. >> reporter: in light of the administration's flip-flop on allowing folks to keep their old health covera

is there are provisions in obama care that only take effect if the states establish these health insurance exchanges, only if there is an exchange, quote, established by the state. now those provisions include the subsidies available through exchanges and the employer mandate, the penalties imposed on employers if they don't offer what the government considers adequate health insurance. 34 states said they're not going to create exchanges and the federal government is operating exchanges in those states so that means those provisions by law are inoperative in those states. employers in those 34 states are exempt from those taxes. >> right. >> but what the the obama administration is doing, is the exact opposite of what the law says. the exact opposite. they are issuing the subsidies and imposing those taxes in those 34 states and their rationale for doing the opposite of what the law says is that's what congress intended. >> but wait a second. we have a congress, we can fact check this with the people who pass the law. they're still there. they're sitting in their seats in that domed building. where are t
on president obama's efforts to overhaul the nation's health care system. the public policy institute of california found just 44 percent of voters are in favor of the affordable care act. while the same percentage don't approve of the law. this is despite two thirds of uninsured residents who say they plan on getting coverage by next year now that its more available to them. at the same time, mr. obama's job approval rating has taken a hit, with 51 percent of californians approving. that matches a record low from two years ago and is down 10 points from last summer. no budget deal yet in washington. a 27 right now. a warning is going out to residents in nevada to make sure the money used to pay for gifts this holiday season, is legit. officials are warning cashiers and bank tellers to be on the lookout for thieves trying to pass bogus bills. police say they're seeing more counterfeit $100 and $50 dollar bills in the reno area this time of year. they say not only are the bills fake, but that they'll be seized as evidence causing stores to lose money. financial experts say to spot a fa
